ELLA RAMSAY
Olympic Swimmer
Ella Ramsay is an Australian Olympic swimmer from Ipswich, Queensland, known for her versatility across medley and breaststroke events. Born on 12 July 2004, she comes from a strong swimming lineage — her father, Heath Ramsay, competed for Australia at the Sydney 2000 Olympics and was her first coach. Ella made waves early in her career, earning 14 medals as a 16-year-old at the 2021 Australian Age Championships across freestyle, breaststroke, and individual medley events, and defending numerous titles the following year. She represented Australia at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, reaching the final of the 200 m individual medley, and continued her rise with standout performances at national and international meets.
Her breakthrough came at the 2024 Australian Olympic Trials, where she clocked qualifying times in multiple events and secured her spot on the Australian Dolphins team for the 2024 Paris Olympics. At Paris, she delivered strong performances in the individual medleys and breaststroke races, and contributed as a heat swimmer to Australia’s silver medal in the women’s 4×100 m medley relay, marking her first Olympic medal. Beyond the pool, Ella’s blend of elite athleticism, family legacy, and commitment to growth make her an inspiring figure for brands in sports, wellness, and lifestyle spaces looking to align with authentic athletic influence.
