Saya Sakakibara
BMX
Half British, Half Japanese but 100% Australian has been the mantra of the Sakakibara Family. Saya, an Olympic BMX rider has split her time between Australia and Japan in her younger days and now splits her time between Australia and Europe as she represents herself and Australia on the World Championship Circuit. She debuted at Olympic Level for Australia at Tokyo 2020.
Saya has long term partnerships with Red Bull, DK Bicycles, Oakley and an array of other supporting partners. Most recently she teamed up with Woolworths in 2020 who used her as a key part of the ‘Aussie Hero’ Campaign during the Olympic Games.
Saya is focused on working her way to the top of her craft and medalling at an Olympic Games. She will do whatever it takes and is disciplined, hard working and completely focused on her goals.
